The Indonesia International Furniture Expo (IFEX) 2026 officially concluded after a four-day run from March 5–8, 2026, at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten. Organized by the Indonesian Furniture and Craft Industry Association (HIMKI) and Dyandra Promosindo, this business-to-business (B2B) furniture and craft exhibition once again served as a strategic platform for industry players to expand their export markets and introduce Indonesian furniture designs and products to the global market.
Abdul Sobur, Chairman of HIMKI, stated that this exhibition continues to develop into a global business platform connecting Indonesian furniture manufacturers with international buyers. The enthusiasm of visitors and the transaction figures this year demonstrate that Indonesian furniture is strongly competitive in the global market.
“The enthusiasm of visitors and the transaction results this year demonstrate that Indonesian furniture is highly competitive in the global market,” said Abdul Sobur at the IFEX 2026 press conference.
Over the four days of the event, IFEX 2026 recorded the attendance of 13,437 buyers and visitors from various countries. The exhibition also recorded on-the-spot transaction value of US$300 million.
According to him, this achievement strengthens IFEX’s position as one of the largest furniture exhibitions in Southeast Asia and a global trade platform for the Indonesian furniture industry.
Daswar Marpaung, President Director of Dyandra Promosindo, stated that IFEX has developed into a global business networking platform for the furniture and craft industry, bringing together manufacturers, designers, and buyers from various countries.
“This exhibition provides a strategic space for manufacturers, buyers, designers, and business players to meet face-to-face, establish new partnerships, and explore business collaboration opportunities,” said Daswar Marpaung.
According to organizers’ records, China was the country with the largest number of buyers attending IFEX 2026, followed by the European Union, Australia, the United States, India, Singapore, Japan, and Malaysia. Overall, 86 countries of origin attended this year’s exhibition.
In addition to the international market, interest from the domestic market is also showing a positive trend. Several exhibitors reported agreements for local projects, particularly in the property sector, such as short-term rental housing and similar accommodation concepts.
“Products made from natural materials, such as stone, solid wood, and fiber, are among the most popular with visitors, in line with the growing preference for wellness living concepts that provide a more tranquil, comfortable, and natural environment,” he said.
