PT Evo Manufacturing Indonesia (EMI) exported 2,300 boxes of canned wet food, 11,200 boxes of pouched pâté, and 12,000 boxes of pouched meat chunks in gravy to the Philippines, valued at USD 176,000.
Minister of Trade Budi Santoso (Busan) marked the official release of PT Evo Manufacturing Indonesia’s (EMI) pet food exports to the Philippines in Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra, on Thursday (February 12, 2026).
“PT EMI’s first export demonstrates the growing competitiveness of Indonesian pet food products,” he said.
Minister of Trade Busan encouraged pet food exporters to further increase exports by leveraging Indonesia’s various trade agreements with partner countries.
“Destination markets have been opened through the Indonesia-United Arab Emirates Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), the Indonesia-Australia CEPA, and the Indonesia-Chile CEPA,” he explained.
Trade Minister Busan also encouraged business actors to see the opportunities offered by the Indonesia-European Union CEPA, which has been substantially finalized. This agreement will open markets in 27 EU countries with a population of over 400 million.
Accompanying Trade Minister Busan were the Director General of Domestic Trade, Iqbal Shoffan Shofwan; the Director of Primary Product Export Development, Miftah Farid; and the Head of the Public Relations Bureau, N.M. Kusuma Dewi.
