A significant and historic milestone was achieved for farmers in Maesan District. On Friday, December 5, 2025, the Doa Sugerlor Joint Business Cooperative (KUB) officially launched its first export of Robusta coffee to the international market. The symbolic launch was carried out by the Deputy Regent of Bondowoso, Mr. As’ad Yahya Syafi’i, S.E.
This milestone marks a new milestone, demonstrating the growing recognition and competitiveness of Bondowoso’s robusta coffee in the global market. KUB Doa Sugerlor, which has been actively involved in farmer empowerment and post-harvest quality improvement, is now entering a new chapter by shipping its superior product internationally.
This export launch is not only a source of pride for KUB Doa Sugerlor, but also an encouragement for all farmers in Maesan and other areas of Bondowoso to continue improving their production quality. With high quality standards, maintained processing practices, and strengthened institutions, Bondowoso coffee has an increasing opportunity to expand internationally.
It is hoped that this initial export will open the door for future shipments and act as a catalyst for improving farmer welfare.
